20 Hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training
Yin yoga is a deeply meditative practice defined by longer held, passive stretching in shapes using the support of the mat and props. While “yang” yoga styles like vinyasa focus on your muscles, yin yoga moves beyond muscle to target your bodies deep connective tissues, like fascia, ligaments, joints, and bones, and provides more time and space to replenish your nervous system. Through a combination of virtual and in-studio training hours featuring practice, lecture, discussion, and posture clinic, this training provides not only a deep dive into your own personal practice, but also the foundational skills to lead a yin practice for others. Gain an understanding of yin yoga shapes and how to cue and sequence them, modifications & options for all bodies, corresponding subtle body energetic principles, the impact of stress and trauma on the nervous system and the art of holding space for your students to experience the deeply nourishing benefits of yin yoga.

Yin Yoga for Vata Season
Embrace the cooler, dryer months of Fall with a nourishing, Vata balancing Yin Yoga immersion! In this 90 minute offering, Amy shares Yin postures, practices and Ayurvedic wisdom to counter the fast-paced nature of this transitional season.
Ayurveda is the traditional Indian medicine system known as ‘the sister science’ to Yoga. It views the world and everything in it through the lens of the five elements, with each season ruled by a grouping of these elements: Air, Fire, Water, Earth and Ether.
Late Fall to early Winter is Vata (air and space) season. Cool, quick and mobile; the qualities of Vata can evoke great creativity and agility. However, too much Vata (common in Fall) can leave us feeling anxious, ‘spacey’ and fatigued. Grounding practices like Yin Yoga can counteract this excess high energy in both body and mind.
Leave feeling thoroughly restored, with an understanding of Vata qualities; and how to find balance with Ayurvedic and Yogic practices on and off the mat.
All are welcome. No experience required.

Summer is Pitta (fire and water) season! Warming, energetic and vibrant; the qualities of fire are beautiful and often transformative.
