Yin Yoga for Pitta Season

Balance out the heat of Summer with a cooling, Pitta pacifying Yin Yoga practice! In this immersive offering, Amy shares postures, practices and Ayurvedic wisdom to counter the intensity of the hotter months.

Ayurveda is the traditional Indian medicine system known as ‘the sister science’ to Yoga. It views the world and everything in it through the lens of the five elements, with each season ruled by a grouping of these elements: Air, Fire, Water, Earth and Ether.

Summer is Pitta (fire and water) season! Warming, energetic and vibrant; the qualities of fire are beautiful and often transformative. However, too much Pitta (common in Summer) can leave us feeling ‘burnt out’. Grounding practices like Yin Yoga can counteract this excess heat in both body and mind.

Leave feeling refreshed and restored with an understanding of how to find balance with Ayurvedic and Yogic practices on and off the mat.

All levels welcome. No experience required.
