20 Hour Yin Yoga Level Teacher Training with Heatwise
Yin yoga is a deeply meditative practice defined by longer held, passive stretching in shapes using the support of the mat and props. While “yang” yoga styles like vinyasa focus on your muscles, yin yoga moves beyond muscles to target your body's deep connective tissues, like fascia, ligaments, joints, and bones, and provides more time and space to replenish your nervous system.
Through a combination of virtual and in-studio training hours featuring practice, lecture, discussion, and posture clinic, this training led by Amy Apgar provides not only a deep dive into your own personal practice, but also the foundational skills to lead a yin practice for others. Gain an understanding of yin yoga shapes and how to cue and sequence them, modifications & options for all bodies, corresponding subtle body energetic principles, the impact of stress and trauma on the nervous system and the art of holding space for your students to experience the deeply nourishing benefits of yin yoga.
